Kevin Mendonca's screenplay Marcus Locke: Introduction has been selected as the winner of The First Fifteen Minutes Screenplay Competition for September. Tanglewood Films would like to congratulate Kevin and recognize the superior craftsmanship in his work. He will be showcased here and receive free coverage on his script..

Marcus Locke: Introduction

When Jay decided to get involved with the infamous P.I. Marcus Locke, he knew he had to expect anything. He never expected top become the prime suspect in a murder.

Kevin's screenwriting credits are pretty much non-existent. He was the story editor for Real World You Never Saw: Las Vegas, however that isn't really writing. It's kind of like making sentences out of those word magnet things, except instead of magnets, you use people's lives.

He is still working in the reality genre, but is hoping to break free of its clutches by finally selling a feature screenplay.

While he has a number of TV and film ideas floating around his head, Kevin's focus is currently on fine-tuning "Marcus Locke: Introduction" and rewriting "Freaks", a screenplay about a travelling freak show and the town of xenophobic homicidal maniacs that they unwittingly stumble upon.

"Freaks", which has an embedded, suddenly topical socio-political angle, was actually finished two years ago, however, after finishing the screenplay, Kevin went out to celebrate, only to come home to find his apartment door wid open, and his laptop (with backup disk still in the drive) gone.

Also, on the computer was Kevin's one finished screenplay, 'Past Present', a coming of age story about a young man returning home to take care of a cancer-stricken friend. Kevin has a hard copy of the unproduced Movie-of-the-Week, but hasn't had the patience to retype it.
