BIO

I started as an actor on the stage, which I found to be very rewarding. Unfortunately the pay left a little to be desired. Then I spent years in Phoenix and Los Angeles as a character actor. The 13 years in Los Angeles were spent working in national commercials, TV, and film. A small sample of my work is available on the web site, www.imdb.com/name/nm0269257/

During the latter years in L.A. I began painting, working in oils. It kept me busy in between jobs. After moving to Tucson due to my wife's health, I setup a studio and continued to paint with reasonable commercial success. I did western landscapes, but primarily stayed with character studies of Native Americans, the Navajo in particular. I continued to do some work in commercials and film around Arizona and Las Vegas.

Several years ago I laid aside my brushes and began to write. For some reason it just seemed to be the natural thing to do. I have written several mystery novels. My web page is, www.authorsden.com/joefaust
My interest then turn to a natural course, writing a screenplay. "A Stop Along the Highway" or "Welcome to Prosperity" is my first such endeavor.

a few words from joe

I'm sure my first screenplay will not be my last. I do have a few other ideas running around in my head. Whether they will be novels or screenplays is really not that important. Just writing is the important thing. But I must admit seeing your work on the big screen would be the reward to end all rewards.
