A Nice Day Notes

With "A Nice Day", I was intrigued with the notion that the vast majority of Cerebral Palsy sufferers were mentally unchallenged--only about 20% are mentally retarded. That meant that most people with CP were just like everyone else on the inside, they just couldn't make their physical bodies respond in the way unaffected persons do.

It was with this in mind that I set out to make the short. I wanted to try and convey what it must be like to be literally trapped inside a body that you can't control.

My original intent was to make "A Nice Day" as a low-budget feature, but I decided to go with the short format first to see how it would all play out. After the success of the short, I think with the right producer involved, it would be a tremendous feature project.
